Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Brigitte Ramones is an Advanced Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner within the Department of Neurological Surgery who provides outpatient services in our Doctors Office Center (DOC) facility. Ms. Ramones provides support to our Cerebrovascular/Endovascular service as well as general support to our other clinical services.
Ms. Ramones started her career eight years ago at UMDNJ as a staff nurse having experience on various units including: Medical-Surgical, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/ Trauma and Interventional Radiology. She graduated with her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May 2010 and joined the department a few months later in December.
Ms. Ramones is a Certified Critical Care Nurse and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Montclair State University, an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Nursing from Felician College and a Master’s Degree in Nursing from UMDNJ’s School of Nursing. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is licensed as a Professional Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Specializing in Family Practice in the State of New Jersey. She is currently a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), and the New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA).
