Aaron F. Hajart, MS, ATC
Director of Administration
Aaron F. Hajart joined the Department of Neurological Surgery in February of 2009 as the Director of Administration. He oversees the day-to-day operational and financial responsibilities for the practice as well as participating in the long-range planning and hospital administrative issues.

Mr. Hajart is a seasoned administrator, having spent the previous five years in private practice and academic practice administration with two orthopedic and sports medicine practices. Prior to joining the department, Mr. Hajart spent over a year as the Divisional Administrator for Sports Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer who spent a number of years in professional and college athletics. His years as an Athletic Trainer saw him spend time in the National Football League, Minor League Baseball, Arena Football, and NCAA DI and DII Athletics. He has been an Athletic Trainer for US Squash and USFooty teams as well.

In addition to his time as a clinician and administrator, Mr. Hajart has been an active educator and researcher. He as eight publications to his credit and has presented on various sports medicine and practice management topics. After serving for a number of years on the Review Boards for Family Practice Management and the McGill Journal of Medicine, he is currently an ad hoc reviewer for the British Journal of Infection.

Mr. Hajart completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from Hardin-Simmons University. He then went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Human Relations in Business at Amberton University. He is an active member in NERVES, NATA, and the MGMA and is currently working toward his Certified Medical Practice Executive credential.
